Recently completed a Fresco Workshop with amazing artist Sarah Tomasetti - The day kind of flew and didn't get all that much painting time - this is a segment study of a Michelangelo fresco - thought it best to stick with tradition with early initiation to this sacred and antique medium
Just wish I had had more working time only painted for about an hour - but had to get back to Ava so had about an hours painting time - apparently about 10-11 hours into fresco painting you get a magic hour where the paint just glides on lovely - by 12 hours the plaster will not absorb the pigment - it calcifies and the pigment becomes part of the lime mortar
