Ellen Jaye Benson completed her Graduate Diploma of Education Secondary (Visual Arts) at University Of Wollongong in 2010 and would like to thank her methods teachers Jeff Jacobs and Karen for their knowledge and generosity. Studied Honors and a Bachelor of Fine Arts at RMIT from 2004-2007 and majored in Drawing and is much indebted to the mentoring of Godwin Bradbeer, Ginny Grayson, Steven Hope, Deborah Klein, Honor Bradbeer, Greg Moncrief, Greg Creek & Jim Taylor. In 2007 was Travellers Aid's Artist in Community Residence which was sponsored by The City of Melbourne Living the Arts. In 2001-02, she obtained her Visual Arts Diploma at NMIT majoring in Painting under the guidance of Ingrida Rocis. In 2000, undertook a Dobell Spring School Scholarship at The National Arts School which was tutored by Suzanne Archer and in 1997, completed her Fine Arts CERT IV at West Wollongong TAFE and must thank Mark Draper.
